About the role

As we transition from relying on our owner companies to a dedicated in-house Finance & Operations function, we are seeking an experienced professional to lead this effort. This is a unique opportunity to establish robust financial processes while working closely with stakeholders to ensure ElBits' continued growth and success.

You will play a central role in managing and overseeing all financial operations at ElBits. This includes ensuring accurate and compliant financial reporting, maintaining financial controls, and supporting strategic decision-making. You will work closely with our leadership team, product teams, and external finance provider to align financial processes with ElBits’ growth objectives.

This position offers the chance to grow and shape the role in a dynamic, startup-like environment while establishing long-term financial and operational processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in financial reporting processes, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports in compliance with GAAP standards.

• Develop and oversee financial governance systems, ensuring compliance and identifying opportunities for improvement.

• Manage day-to-day financial activities, such as budgeting, forecasting, tax submissions, cost control, and vendor/customer accounts.

• Act as the primary liaison with the external finance provider, ensuring clear and efficient delegation of responsibilities.

• Acting as a key contact point for the grid companies. You will be responsible for ensuring clarity and proactive communication regarding ElBits’ financing model and billing practices.

• Handling and improving a medium-complexity invoicing regime between ElBits and the grid companies who own ElBits

• Support leadership and team leads with financial insights, progress tracking, and forecasting.

• Prepare and present key financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.

• Manage salary payment process and follow up on hours recording processes, as well as coordinating with authorities on regulatory matters.

Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.

• 5+ years of relevant experience in financial and/or operational roles.

• Fluent in both Norwegian and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Proven experience in implementing and improving financial systems to establish scalable, long-term processes.

• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance to ensure best practices are followed.

• Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to provide data-driven insights that support business decisions.

• Strong interpersonal skills, able to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally.

• Adaptable and comfortable navigating ambiguity in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

• Experience with working with public entities is a plus
