Product Owner
Are you ready to shape how digital products power the energy transition?
ElBits is an ambitious collaboration among Norway’s grid companies aimed at driving change in the power grid industry. We achieve this by integrating and standardising data, as well as developing digital products. Our goal is to create a digital infrastructure that will enable the sector to increase grid capacity and efficiency, as well as streamline and improve customer journeys.
With our partnerships, deep industry expertise, and access to critical data, we are uniquely positioned to innovate and address the challenges of today’s energy systems. By making data accessible and enabling collaboration, we unlock the grid industry's potential. Together, we contribute to solving one of the greatest challenges of our time - the energy transition.
At ElBits, we build national digital services for the Norwegian power sector. Our products sit at the intersection of complex domain knowledge, regulatory requirements, and modern software development. As we grow, so does the need for stronger product knowledge - both within teams and across the organisation.
Today, several teams operate with product management. Product responsibility is partly held by team leads or key contributors, and methodology, prioritisation, and development processes vary between teams. While we have strong domain expertise internally, we see a clear need to strengthen the product discipline - creating better alignment between strategy, priorities, and execution.
We are now hiring a Product Owner who will take clear product ownership in one team in the short-term, and help us build stronger product methodology and structure across ElBits in the long-term.
This is a key role at an exciting time. You will initially join one of our early-phase product teams that is asking for clearer direction, prioritisation, and process. At the same time, you will work closely with our Head of Product and other Product Owners to professionalise and streamline how we work with product across teams.
This is both a hands-on and strategic role - a short-term capacity and continuity need, and a long-term investment in strengthening our product organisation.
What will you do?
The main goal of the Product Owner is to create clarity, direction, and momentum in product development - ensuring that our teams build solutions that create real value for grid companies.
You will:
Take full product ownership in one cross-functional team, working closely with developers, designers, and domain experts (including power engineers).
Clarify product direction, priorities, and value hypotheses, ensuring alignment between strategy and execution.
Drive structured, hypothesis-driven product development, from insight and discovery to delivery and iteration.
Own and maintain the product roadmap, balancing short-term progress with long-term ambition.
Strengthen prioritisation principles and decision-making structures within and across teams.
Contribute to more conscious portfolio management in collaboration with the Head of Product and leadership.
Establish clearer roles, responsibilities, and processes within product teams.
Facilitate insight work, user dialogue, and validation to ensure we build what truly matters.
Support and elevate other Product Owners, contributing to shared learning, stronger methodology, and increased product maturity across ElBits.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a seasoned and structured Product Owner who combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
You are driven, focused, and curious. You communicate clearly, create structure where others see complexity, and take ownership naturally. You are motivated by building something meaningful - and by helping others succeed.
You also embody our values, being kind, relentless, and brave in everything you do.
We hope you have:
5+ years of experience within product development, preferably in a SaaS environment.
Experience taking products from PoC to mature, scalable solutions, navigating complexity along the way.
Strong understanding of product methodologies, such as lean/agile, hypothesis-driven development, and Design Thinking.
Experience owning and driving roadmaps, prioritisation, and value creation.
Experience leading cross-functional teams (engineering, design, domain experts).
Ability to gather and translate user insight into clear product decisions.
Experience building or contributing to structured product practices within an organisation.
Motivation to deeply understand the needs of Norwegian grid companies and immerse yourself in a complex domain.
It’s an advantage if you also have:
Experience from the energy sector or other regulated industries.
Experience with UX, discovery and/or user stories.
Experience contributing to portfolio-level discussions.
What can we offer?
First and foremost, the opportunity to shape product methodics at ElBits and influence how we work with products across the organisation.
You will also join a mission-driven tech company where your work has real societal impact. You will collaborate with highly competent colleagues across technology, design, and the energy domain, and contribute to building critical digital infrastructure for Norway.
We also offer:
A positive, flexible, and trust-based work environment.
The opportunity to make a real difference in the energy transition.
Industry-leading pension and insurance policies.
Modern office centrally located at Rådhusgata in Oslo.
Choice of equipment and necessary tools.
Great colleagues & social events.
