ElBits is an ambitious partnership between Norway’s grid companies, aiming to create a new digital infrastructure that standardizes data, increases grid capacity, and sets a new standard for the industry.

Connecting the dots
Connection requests in the Norwegian power grid are becoming increasingly complex, involving multiple grid levels, stakeholders, and regulatory requirements.
Our teams are tackling these challenges head-on by developing better processes and digital tools to ensure consistency, transparency, and efficiency in how complex cases are handled and approved, across the Norway.
At the core of our work is the Connection process – with our launched product, Tilko, and other upcoming products, we aim to become the most efficient and trusted tool in the power grid industry for assessing connection requests. From the initial customer inquiry to final reservation, our goal is to create a seamless, unified platform for structured information exchange across all grid levels - DSO, TSO, and other actors.
These teams are working closely with grid companies, regulators, and industry experts to define smart workflows, align interpretations, and automate where possible, without compromising on quality or control.
Together, we're laying the foundation for a more scalable and future-ready connection process in Norway’s evolving energy system.

TILKO
This team handles large connection requests (1 MW). From inquiry to reservation, it enables consistent information exchange across all grid levels in Norway.
The platform supports every step of the process except initial guidance and includes both a user interface and API for seamless integration with external systems. Aiming to build a better process to manage complexity at scale.

NEMO (Nettmodell Hub)
We’re building the foundation for better collaboration in the power grid sector by developing common standards for data flow and sharing across grid companies.
A key initiative is the national net model, which aims to create a unified structure for how grid data is represented and exchanged. By also developing frameworks for secure and standardized data sharing, we can ensure that sensitive information can flow safely between systems.

Ecosystem
The Ecosystem team leads our outward-facing work by building and nurturing relationships across the energy ecosystem. We shape and share ElBits’ story, connect with partners (grid companies), third parties (tech providers and startups), regulators, and industry organizations.
Our mission is to drive business development, from value creation to our commercial model. We also help other ElBits teams collaborate effectively with external stakeholders.

Internal Developer Platform
The Platform team empowers our product teams to move fast and build with confidence. They create the guardrails, tooling, and deployment capabilities that make development smooth and reliable across different needs.
At ElBits, we’re building services that demand stability, scalability, and rapid iteration, and the Platform team makes that possible. Their mission is to evolve the platform continuously as our products grow, not spend years building support we might never need.
